FPO provided senior expertise to the team conducting a mid-term evaluation of the African Union Support Programme. The programme amounting Euro 55 million for the period 2007-2011 aimed at strengthening the institutional capacity of the African Union Commission and three of the AU Organs. Explicit attention was paid to the financial management systems in the AUC (programming, execution, reporting) as the aid modality ‘Contribution Agreement’ made full use of the beneficiary’s systems and structures.
